More than 100 couples will take part in the annual tradition

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Most Reverend David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown, will celebrate a special Mass on Sunday, May 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Columba Cathedral in Youngstown, to mark the wedding anniversaries of 109 couples who are being honored for a total of 5,094 years of wedded life ranging from 25 to 67 years.
Louis and Barbara Szabo of St. Andrew Bobola, Kingsville, are the longest married of those registered and are celebrating 67 years. Other couples celebrating include: 28 couples married 66-51 years; 42 couples married 50 years; 24 couples will observe 40 years; and 14 couples will mark 25 years.
The Wedding Anniversary Celebration includes renewal of marriage vows at Mass and a personalized certificate. A cake reception will be held for the honored couples and their families following the Mass in the Cathedral Hall, hosted by members of Saint Columba Cathedral Parish, Youngstown.
