YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO – Catholic Charities, Diocese of Youngstown, is hosting its first Breakfast with the Bishop event on November 29, “Giving Tuesday,” from 8 to 10 a.m. at Mt. Carmel parish hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown. The event features a hearty breakfast, a brief presentation from Bishop David J. Bonnar, a Holiday Bake sale, a raffle, a canned goods collection and “Education Stations” highlighting Catholic Charities’ various ministries and services. Tickets are $25 at www.ccdoy.org. Advance sales only.
Breakfast with the Bishop will kick off Catholic Charities’ annual #GivingTuesday Campaign, with the aim of raising more than $20,000 in just 24 hours. Thanks to Catholic Charities’ corporate donors, all donations received on their website, www.ccdoy.org on Giving Tuesday will be matched up to $10,000. Any gift, large or small, will help Catholic Charities provide services to those in our diocese who are poor, vulnerable and without hope as the result of poverty.
