Called by the Spirit: Discerning Spiritual Gifts for Youth, Young Adult, & Campus Ministers

“The Holy Spirit also enriches the entire evangelizing Church with different charisms. These gifts are meant to renew and build up the Church” (Evangelii Gaudium, 130).

As a youth, young adult, or campus minister, you are on the front lines of forming the next generation of disciples. Called by the Spirit: Discerning Spiritual Gifts for Youth, Young Adult, & Campus Ministers will help you discern and embrace the unique charisms the Holy Spirit has given you in this season. These gifts are not meant to remain hidden; they are given to renew the Church, and bear fruit in your ministry with young people and those around you.

Through this engaging workshop, you will explore how your individual gifts can build up the Kingdom of God in every aspect of your life and work. You’ll also gain practical insight to help call out the gifts of the young people and volunteers you serve, creating a vibrant culture of discipleship. Using the Called by the Spirit Gifts Inventory as a foundation, this day offers a springboard for deeper prayer and partnership with the Holy Spirit that can transform both you and those entrusted to your care.

This workshop is led by Francine Costantini, Director of Youth Ministry for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. With over 20 years of youth ministry experience, a Master’s in Theology & Religious Studies, and a graduate of Encounter School of Ministry, she equips and supports youth ministers with a heart for Spirit-led mission, and leads dynamic youth events. She’s spoken at the Catholic Youth Ministry Convention, Toronto’s ELEVATE, First Friday luncheons, and parish missions. Francine and her husband, Deacon Mike, have three young adult children, a golden retriever named Moses, and a house full of books. She’s lived in three countries, traveled to over 30, and believes youth ministry thrives where the Spirit, faith, relationships, and mission meet.
