YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Diocese of Youngstown is sponsoring a Wedding Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, October 26, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist Church (627 McKinley Ave NW, Canton). The Celebration honors couples observing their 25th, 40th, 50th and over wedding anniversaries in 2025.
The Wedding Anniversary Celebration includes Mass with Bishop David J. Bonnar, renewal of marriage vows, a personalized certificate for each couple and a reception for the couple and their families. Last October 27, 2024 there were 61 couples who gathered at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for the Annual Wedding Anniversary Mass and the blessing from Bishop Bonnar. All together, these couples were celebrating 2,872 years of marriage. The couple married the longest was celebrating 70 years of Marriage (Dan and Georgealle McGinnis from St. Louis in Louisville, now part of St. Isidore Parish).
Couples planning to attend this celebration need to register at their parish office as soon as possible, but no later than September 26, 2025. Limited spaces are available.
