Youngstown Hymn Sing-July 13th at 11:00am: Trinity United Methodist Church

The Youngstown Hymn Sing is excited to present “Let There Be Peace on Earth” – a community event benefiting Mahoning Valley Sojourn to the Past. We are honored to present a special festival chorus composed of many local church choir members to present an inspiring concert filled with comforting and empowering music: Boardman United Methodist Church, Grace Lutheran Church (Austintown), Hiram Disciples of Christ, St. Columba Cathedral, Westminster Presbyterian Church (Boardman), and Windham Congregational United Church of Christ. Additionally, students from Mahoning Valley Sojourn to the Past will give a presentation expressing how their lives have been impacted by the beneficiary organization. A free-will offering will be taken to benefit the Mahoning Valley Sojourn to the Past to aid their continued positive impact on the city of Youngstown. Sean Baran (First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh), Frank Behne III (Boardman United Methodist Church), Ralph Holtzhauser (Youngstown Diocese), and Katherine Miller (Westminster Presbyterian Church) will be the featured organists demonstrating the power and majesty of the largest pipe organ between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Lastly, the audience will be invited to sing on four hymns throughout the concert and local pastors will present brief reflections before each hymn.

Join us in downtown Youngstown on July 13 at 11:00AM to enjoy this special community event. The concert is free for all to attend and refreshments will be available after the performance. Anyone who wishes to participate in the community chorus can simply drop-in at 9:45 AM on July 13. The event takes place on July 13 at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church (30 W Front Street, Youngstown, OH 44503).  Congregations and choirs are welcome to come and fill the pews and church with song!

The event is finished.
