Fundraiser Ideas
Various fundraiser ideas to try with your youth group to raise money for trips such as NCYC, Steubenville Youth Conferences, mission trips, and other “encounter” experiences that may come along! It is important to always plan a couple of fundraisers throughout the ministry year. Contact the Office of Youth & Young Adult Accompaniment with any questions or if you want to brainstorm with someone!
ENCOUNTER 2026
Save the date of March 14, 2026 for our next diocesan youth convention “Encounter MERCY”! The day will take place on the grounds of Walsh University and will include a keynote speaker, dynamic breakout sessions, dinner, a Holy Hour with Reconciliation, and Holy Mass. Open to high schoolers (grades 9-12). We can’t wait to see you there!
Be Fed on August 13 & 14
“Be Fed” is a new event for Youth Ministers and Campus Ministers to find connection, inspiration, and encouragement for the coming school year. Be Fed is an opportunity for youth and campus ministers to network with one another, as well as “be fed” by a guest speaker.
Eagle of the Cross Award Ceremony
The Eagle of the Cross award is given annually to outstanding juniors and seniors in high school within the Diocese of Youngstown who show particular zeal in the improvement of their own parish ministry programs, high school ministry teams, or youth work in general within the Diocese.
