St. Paul in North Canton will host Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 (ages 3 – 6) training for those interested in learning about this method of religious education with children.
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori- based approach to religious education that engages children from ages 3 to 12 in a hands-on, contemplative learning environment. It seeks to foster a personal relationship with God through Scripture, liturgy, and prayer in a special space called an “atrium”
The program is divided into levels (Level I: 3-6, Level II: 6-9, Level III: 9-12), with tailored presentations for each developmental stage. Facilitators are to be trained in each level. This training, for Level 1, will take place for one week in summers of 2026 and 2027:
Part One Dates: June 8-12, 2026
Part Two Dates: June 14-18, 2027
