36% and growing

I hope all is going well in your parishes.

We are very excited to announce that we have 36% of our Appeal goal met, with just under $1,500,000 in pledges received – and more mail arriving every day!  Congratulations to Saint Paul Parish in North Canton for being the first parish to surpass their goal.  Many other parishes have a good amount of pledges in.  Please keep up the great work of reminding people to respond either to the letter they received from the Bishop or by taking one of the packets from the pews and praying about their ability to make a pledge to the Annual Diocesan Appeal.

Please continue to use the bulletin blurbs that are on our Social Media site and offer verbal reminders at each Mass. We strongly encourage reminders on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday – given the large crowds. The next mailing is presently scheduled for the first week of May and is the letter which is signed with each pastor’s signature. As that letter is developed, a copy will be sent to pastors first to obtain any feedback. The signatures were gathered at the kick-off or in followup efforts, so that part has been taken care of.

Again, thank you and God bless you for all you continue to do each and every day to support the work of charity and the mission of the Church in the Diocese of Youngstown.
